This policy covers the Nextanity Screen Hub — screen profiles, headshots, reels, credits, the Casting Board, the Opportunities directory and the submission tracker. It sits on top of our general Privacy Policy, which still applies to your account, payments and platform usage. Where the two differ for Screen features, this page controls.
1. Who this covers
Anyone who creates a Screen profile or uses Screen features: actors, directors, writers, crew, casting posters and members browsing roles. You can use the rest of Nextanity without ever creating a Screen profile.
2. What Screen collects
Profile data you provide
- Identity & craft: display name, handle, headline, bio, roles (actor, director, crew).
- Casting attributes: playing-age range, height, languages, skills, union status, location and remote availability. These are optional and are self-declared — we never infer them.
- Media: headshots, reels and self-tapes, plus captions and titles.
- Career records: credits, representation details and any résumé you upload.
Casting Board data
- Roles you post: project details, pay, dates, contact email and how-to-apply instructions.
- Applications you send: the call applied to, your pitch text and application status.
- If you post a role, applicants' handle, display name and pitch are shown to you as the poster — and only to you.
Opportunities & tracker data
- Opportunities you save, submission and follow-up dates, statuses and private notes.
- Calendar entries generated from your saved opportunities and casting applications.
3. Sensitive-category data
Casting attributes such as age range, appearance-related details and language can be sensitive. We treat them as optional, member-supplied casting metadata: you decide whether to publish them, you can remove them at any time, and we do not use them for advertising, profiling or automated decision-making. We do not ask for race, ethnicity, health, religion or sexual orientation anywhere in Screen — please don't put that data in free-text fields either.
4. What is public vs. private
- Public when you publish: your Screen profile page, including headshots, reels, credits, skills and any attributes you filled in. Published profiles are reachable at a public URL and may be indexed by search engines.
- Private to you: saved opportunities, tracker notes, follow-up dates and your calendar. Nothing in the tracker is visible to other members or to casting posters.
- Shared with one party: a casting application is visible only to the person who posted that role.
- Unpublished: if you keep your Screen profile unpublished, it is visible only to you.
5. Tracking and analytics
Screen uses only essential cookies for authentication and session state. There are no third-party ad trackers, no advertising pixels and no cross-site tracking on Screen pages. We record basic, aggregate usage — page views, reel plays, saves — to keep the product working and to know which features matter. Casting posters see application counts, not your browsing behavior.
The Opportunities directory links out to third-party casting sites (Backstage, Casting Networks and others). Once you leave Nextanity, that site's own privacy policy and trackers apply. We do not send them your profile data, and we do not receive tracking data back from them.
6. Consent choices you control
- Publish / unpublish your Screen profile at any time from Studio → Screen Profile.
- Per-asset control: delete individual headshots, reels, credits or your résumé.
- Field-level control: leave any casting attribute blank; blank fields aren't shown.
- Withdraw an application — this removes your pitch from the poster's view.
- Clear tracker data by removing saved opportunities.
- Delete your Screen presence without deleting your Nextanity account — email us and we'll remove profile, media, credits and applications.
7. Retention
- Profile and media: kept until you delete them or close your account.
- Casting applications: kept while the role is open, then removable by you or the poster.
- Tracker entries: kept until you remove them.
- Deleted media is purged from storage; backups age out on our normal cycle.
8. Casting safety
Never send government ID, financial details, nude or private material through a casting application. Nextanity will never ask for payment to be considered for a role. Report suspicious posts using the report control on the listing — we review and remove posts that violate our Community & Eligibility rules.
9. Who we share Screen data with
- Casting posters — only for roles you apply to.
- Hosting and storage infrastructure — to store and serve your media.
- Stripe — if you subscribe to Premium for posting or tracker features.
- Law enforcement — only when legally required.
We do not sell Screen profiles, applications, or contact details to agencies, casting services or data brokers.
10. Minors
Screen is for members 18 and older. If you represent a minor performer, do not create a profile for them here; we'll remove profiles we learn belong to minors.
11. Your rights & contact
Request access, correction, export or deletion of Screen data at privacy@nextanity.com. Include the handle of the Screen profile in question so we can act quickly.
